LG VX8300 Use Genuine Battery Error. |

| Here's the Story! My Friend gave me his LG VX8300. His phone went for a ride in his washing machine. Once he dried it out, the display seemed to work but the phone gave him the message "Use Genuine Battery " and then shut down after 10 seconds. So I figured a little cleaning might get the phone back up and running. I was close but that didn't do it. After a few hours of studying the phone, I stumbled on a defective component! A quick replacement of the part and the phone was fixed! If you have taken your phone apart and had a look inside you will see that it's pretty much near impossible to change any components! I managed to replace the necessary one. Ok so now what. I need to test my theory and see if I can fix a second phone. If you have a lightly damaged phone (meaning it didn't get super wet) let me know if you want me to try and fix it. You pay for shipping of course.
